Hi All,

My keyfob (LJA2610AA) was not working (1998 Vanden Plas). I took it apart to find the two CR2016 batteries dead. Here is where I made the mistake, I assumed that there are clear directions on which way the batteries need to go back and thus did not pay attention on how they were in. The cover says "+ side down" ; this could not be more ambiguous. Does this mean that the plus side needs to be toward the cover or does it mean that the plus side needs to be toward the PCB?

The + side faces the back of the fob - the side without the buttons.

 

Well, now I have two contradicting answers. At another forum someone said that the plus is towards the PCB...

 

I just popped open my keyfob (LJA2610AA), the plus side points towards the back of the fob (away from the PCB).
