I'll keep my 1999 X308. The new XJ-8 looks like a monster next to mine.

Not a fan overall, though it looks well done for what's been done to it. Biggest turnoff for me is the exhaust tips sticking out so far beyond the bumper. I don't know if that's the new trend in style, but it just looks off to me. Again, that's just my opinion though. If you're good with it, that's what's important.

That's certainly interesting!
Agree about the exhaust pipes looking a little ridiculous because they stick out, but the colour and angled end do look nice.
I see you have coloured the trunk plinth and bumper blades too? Have you considered doing the same to the chrome trim around the windows? I feel it would add to the look you're going for.

My final point is that I'm not a fan of the colour of the wheels. Brown and black just isn't a good combo. I have a similar issue with a second set of wheels I have for my car. I think they would look good if they were black too.

Some inspiration for you:

Sorry, couldn't resist ... but to each its own, but not my cup of tea.
Like said, it seems professionally done, that's half way already.
The rest is personal taste, which will always be divided on something like this.

Very, very much agree.
But ditch that black plate holder for a thinner chrome one, then she will be perfect.
(Yeah, I know, I always give unwanted advice )

A bit of black paint behind the lower grill bar would really set it off too

Wow! That car is beautiful! I can't imagine the work you've got into it. Actually I can, I just don't want to get into that much again. Pictures don't ever show the real amount of detail work that goes into it. I bet it rides great also. Best of luck in the future. Don't ever sell it, people just won't get all you've done.

So I finished up my interior for now, and went for a ride on the last Summer day over here.

Default Timeless classic interior or X308

The classic timeless interior of the X-308. Never get tired of it. Note the key fob. Some guy hand makes these in the US and sells them on eBay. Also noted AUX cord going to radio. Had some guy in California add that on so I don't have to use a cassette tape adapter to stream from my iPhone.

Nice pics!

I like Bentleys, but not two door, and anyway, your XJ VDP has much classier lines!
