That ceramic coating is a bit of snake oil media campaigning IMO w/ much research. Collinite 845 lasts 4-6 months w/ UV protection etc. Plus having to sand the ceramic coating off when it's time to renew is just opening the door for a mishap that can be avoided lol.
Not the best pic, but you can see the shime. It looks like a 2 year old car, not a 17 year old car.
Was never a fan of the Lambo silver because the paint never looked "deep and wet". But ceramic changed that.
Thats my reflection on my Audi A8. Amazing!
My Favorite. That is my Bentley, reflecting into my Audi A8.

Just a pic I like. All three after ceramic coating. But its all in the prep work. Wash first. Clay. Make sure no tar. Then ceramic. There are more details on You tube. McGuires, on their web site has a very good prep section. They also have a ceramic coating that they are selling. I did not use theirs, but will try it at some point.

Ceramic coatings aren't just about shine though.
You can get the same finish with a good wax, the main benefit is that a ceramic coating will last far, far longer.
I don't think I'd believe anything that says is lasts a lifetime, but the proper UV cured 5/10 year ones seem to be really, really good

See it 15 minutes later, it's a nice fluorescent green-yellow lol.
Edit :
Side Note : I used the product Renny Doyle Double Black Bead Maker to seal my rims, I cleaned them thoroughly with Eagle One A2Z All Wheel & Tire Cleaner w/ micro fiber hand agitation, let air dry. I then saturated each wheel via bottle sprayer w/ Bead Maker & followed up directly afterwards to wipe/cover & dry using 2 micro fiber towels in same succession in mid 70 FH temps. It smeared on thick then wiped off with little effort, so I initially doubt if it had sat long enough cure. I waited 2 hours & sprayed heavily with moderate pressure water & the bead was magnificent. I then let air dry & there was zero water spotting or streaks & the surface was as slick as I've felt on rims in a while. Only time will tell if it's as durable as billed.
I then went for about 100 mile cruise & checked the rims with a white microfiber towel & found no brake dust. Right now I feel like this was the best $9.99(for 16 oz. eBay) I've spent in a while lol.

For a X308, you can choose between the 3-ring version (only the main gauges), or 6-ring, which includes the clock and the smaller light switches.
Think they cost ~60 GBP for a full set.
PM for directions if you want them, I will forward you the seller's details.

So you are a new owner of her?
She actually was on this forum several times, as pictures and video's circulated on the internet and YouTube.
Always wondered why it has the AutoCouture rear lip and side skirts, but missing the front lip ...
