Nehh, this is on the other side of the pond, in democratic China .... TAIWAN ....
It might be the same guy who operated a yellow XJ40 for years, maybe he thought it was time for an upgrade .
Here is my 2003 XJR with the R1 Package. Have had the car for a month or so and love it. Needs some work, but nothing major and it runs and drives great. I dont think you can get more car for the money. Sorry about the photo quality, I deperately need to upgrade my phone...
Just wondering how many X-308 owners on this thread use their car as an everyday driver like myself. Also, would you consider buying the new XJ-8 for your next car even though the current models have no styling cues from classic Jaguars. I read on the internet that the next generation of XJ-8 will be all electric. What are your thoughts on that? ...
My X308 Daimler is also my daily driver. I would like to change that but I can't afford an I-Pace yet.
You see that I do have positive thoughts regarding all-electirc Jags. And I have no prejudices against an all-electric XJ. This may be the last chance for the XJ series of saloons. For the sales numbers of the X351 models were so poor in recent years that Jaguar Land Rover took it out of production. We can discuss about the XJ legacy. I think Jaguar should have the X351 model a brand new name. Jaguar didn't continue to use name E-Type (XKE) for their sports car. instead it became the F-Type. Likely They could have named the X351 e.g. XS (S for saloon) or JS or something alike.
Hello Mr Dobermann. You have one fine looking jag (same color as mine!). I just bought a set of 17 x 8's, 25mm offset, for my 2001 XJ8. The seller suggested 235/50R17 tires with a fitment guarantee . Ashley's a big girl, so I would like a little more rubber on the ground. I'm thinking of 245/50R17's The overall diameter is good, but I'm worried about the width (rubbing) . You obviously know what your doing, so your esteemed judgement would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, and All the Best, Anthony.
Brought this XJ8 in October for £300. 57,500 miles only. See condition and the rebirth afterwards. Well worth it. Changed interior from XJ8 to XJ8 Executive door cards, seats and wooded steering wheel! Renewed the headlining too. Had all rust cut out and replated. Complete respray. Look fantastic now. Just wish I could use it more, as have now had to self isolate with this Coronavirus sweeping the country!
Wonderful looking unit and nice work Doug...but with the angst to drive her, the old saying comes to mind "..how am I supposed to miss you if you won't go away"...Oh wait, that's what my girlfriend says.
