Despite having covered more than 16.000km over the last year as a daily driver in every driving condition possible, the XJR truly proves itself to be a reliable yet elegant means of transportation.
Also your trunk gasket seems to have a small tear. I think this is the first flaw I've seen on your amazing car.
The cargo net was in the car (although not in use) when I acquired the car. It attaches to two metal hooks, one of which you can see in this photo. It doesn’t have any Jaguar markings on it so it’s hard to say if it was an OEM option or after market. The first aid kit is Jaguar labeled but the supplies in the unopened package inside it look they originated in Germany. The kit attaches with Velcro and I relocated it from the front of the trunk to where you see it here.
While the car isn’t perfect, it is perhaps perfect for me. On the field you would call it “a six foot car”, not “a two foot car”. You’ll also notice there aren’t any headliner photos.
If this is what you thought was a small tear in the gasket, it’s an actual hole underneath the sealing edge strip that I assume is an intentional design detail as it would allow any water that might get in if there was a tear somewhere to drain.

Love the car. Great colour combo and a cool history. Also, seeing the same car new versus at present (20 years later and still in fantastic shape), I noticed that the ride height orientation seems to have changed. In the show, it looks like the rear is higher than the front and now it looks like the car has leveled off at a lower ride height. Has anyone ever measured the difference in spring sag from new to used? The reason I am asking is that in my car, with less than 55,000 original miles, my car has a noticeable rake with the rear end being higher than the front. When driving, the seating position and vehicle attitude reminds me of my 1964 Ford Galaxie when it had a 3" lift shackle kit so that I could run my Mickey Thompson Indy Profile N50x15 tires, lol.
Here's my first jaaaaaaag impeller wheels and it's zircon blue Xk Wheels looks much better on the xj I have another one with asteroid it's not that attractive imo Apollo wheels is the best

It’s just the angle. Here is my 02 the day after I brought it home. Looks identical
