Default Locating the TCM?

I have a 2003 Vanden Plas and I have a permanent limp mode. I purchased the car like this, so I would like to drive it one day.
Can anyone direct me to the location of where the TCM is mounted.
My build date is Mar 2002.
I read a few articles about water intrusion into the TCM Module and thought I would check this for residual build up.
Cheers

Inside the right hand false firewall corner in the box, the slimmer module is the TCM.

So, take off the false firewall lid, take the cover off for the ECM/TCM container, and then you'll see it.

Or I guess it'd be the left side if you've got a RHD car?

I have come across the dreaded "limp home" mode 2 times in my life, both times it was related to the cruisecontroller, and both times it was the brake pedal switch.

Just mentioned it.. try the easy things first :-)

Hi Einhead
By any chance did you get a code P0730 with your limp home mode?

I actually dont know what codes (this was my brothers just bought Jag) would have thrown.. i sort of cleared it the first time by just put togeater 2 and 2.. engaged the cruise control, 5 seconds later... problem.. disconnected cruisecontrol , resetted power and then problem gone.. it proved to be the previous owner that had replaced the brakepedal switch with one for meantfor a car without cruisecontrol.. just one microswitch.. there should have been 2.

The second time was with my own car, out driving on cruisecontrol when the engine started to hesitate/run in a subtile worrying way.. 5 seconds later.. problem.. sorted it out also this time by replacing the brake pedal switch..
