I am looking at a 2 owner XJR in Seattle that was garage kept in Scottsdale AZ for what appears most of its life. 37 service records per Carfax, at a Scottsdale European specialist. I'd prefer a 2002 or 2003 because of the Nikisil issues and tensioners, but it looks clean and I have friend who owns a repair shop and body shop willing to go put it on a hoist for me and look it over. It has 108k on it. Seems as though from what I read if the Nikisil issue was going to be a problem it would have done so by now. Correct? I also own a repair shop so if I need to do the tensioners here I am not as concerned about that. I also read the XJR had better tensioners anyhow. Correct? It has a April of 2000 build date and the guy is asking 7k. Anything else would be great.
