I seem to have fallen into the same hole others have - bought the car used and there was only 1 key and remote that came with it. Closest dealer is over an hour away, so right now I'm looking for a couple extra remotes and I'll have to figure the key issue out. I've read a few posts regarding issues with E-bay remotes and potential problems, but I need some clarification. I know the FCC # has to match but does it have to have the same model # to be programmable? I've found different remotes with the same FCC # but different model #'s - they are same shape but one has a horn button (icon) where mine has a light (icon). Some have compatible year models from front end to 2001 others 2001-2003. I'm going to have to take a mortgage to get extra keys made, just finished a full timing chain job, had to order a radiator fan relay this morning, may need to replace one of the fans, and would just as soon not pay 50-70 for a remote if I can get one for 20 right now.
