Default Low Coolant (blown hose) Need advice

Hi all, Recently the coolant involuntarily out of the car while driving. Love that. No overheat, and a cool day so limped home with a little pre ignition. Looked under the hood and its most likely a plastic t fitting which sits right before the supercharger. 2004 XJR 128K. Anyway I will look more closely, but the question I had was because I remember hearing someone say to me that you need to replace all the plastic fittings (and upper rubber) at once because the seem to go in succession. Any thoughts on this? Does anyone company OEM or aftermarket sell a hose and plastic fitting kit? Think this is unecessary? Also what coolant type? Orange style?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks members.

Coventry West near Atlanta sells hose kits for under $400. Worth EVERY penny.
The Aluminum block with Nikasil cylinders do not tolerate overheating. This is not
like a steel block chevy engine. Get spares of the hard plastic lines, they break very easily. Use green coolant. The temperature gauge is not very good. It shows normal until it is too late. This company sells a fix for that.

Treat a coolant leak like the car is OUT of oil. Get it towed. I was stuck in traffic with no shoulder to pull over and destroyed the engine before I could get off the interstate. I had pre ignition, hot indication. I did some repairs and got home. The head gasket was blown though. Lots of white smoke out the exhaust.

When you have a rapid loss of coolant the temperature sensor is not immersed and will not indicate overheating. You may have damaged the engine. It might be best to replace the faulty part and see if the engine runs properly before putting all new hoses in and finding out the heads need to come off.

Engine is solid. Turns out to be a pinhole leak in a hose/hose clamp. My guess once I get in there the other plastic fittings will break apart in my hands so I will have to replace everything. At 120K it is probably a good idea. Anyway, I am in contact with Coventry (thanks for that source by the way) and getting parts.

Thanks again guys for the feedback

Good to hear you avoided disaster. While you are in there it might be a good time to replace the thermostat and housing, belts, and probably some other stuff that I can't think of right now. I'm sure there will be more suggestions.
