I cant seem to save a programed seat position. After going through the sequence then pressing the memory button, the light illuminates , then press either 1 - 2 -3 button the light does not go out or do i hear a beep. Hence it does not save the new positions. Would the problem be in the control panel on the door or elsewhere? Many thanks

 

may want to try to disconnect the battery for couple minutes.. then try again.. may have switch problem or module problem.. memory is saved in the rear door module.. for the seat

 

Thanks for the reply, will try the battery disconnect solution when i can obtain a radio code. In the mean time will have to adjust sets and mirrors every time i get in. I have been informed that the radio code is part of the VIN....but will not go into details here!!!!!

 

98-03 US XJs do not use a radio code....no problems disconnecting battery.
