I recently purchased new Mina Gallery mesh grille inserts for my XJ8.

The grilles look pretty good but I have noticed that the chrome "wires" have little "crimps" in them. These are uniform and are supposed to be there and not defects.

It appears that this occurs as part of the bending process during manufacture of these grilles. On chrome mesh grilles on vintage cars I have noted that the chrome wires are perfectly smooth and without crimps.

Can anyone comment on if they have noticed this on their Mina, Welsh or other grilles?
