Hi, the passenger window on my '98 XJ8 VDP just went down all on its own and refuses to go back up. I turned the car off and on and still not going up. It is making a clicking sound when I press the button. I've tried the passenger window button on the driver side and the passenger door and they're both not working. and its raining out. any help would be appreciated.

 

disregard, found the reset procedure online. with car started you hold the window down button until you hear a click and then press the up button. worked. window up. crisis averted. phew.

 

next time it occurs, try the global window closing with the key in the door. Hold in lock position.
