Hello everyone! For Christmas I received a replacement antenna since the one I had didn't go down. I installed it; and the antenna goes down flawlessly but when the antenna goes up, there's a loud grinding noise. I pull up the antenna slightly and it stops; so it's getting stuck. However when I pull it up all the way then it won't go down.

I had to cut the cord because it was too long and I cut it so it would match up to the old one. Put the teeth back in correctly. However I did not apply grease to the cord; was I supposed to do that?

Did you take the assembly apart to be sure there was no broken pieces left in there? Should have to cut anything.
Just if you haven't seen Roberts video-You can skip the first 6 minutes..

 

When the cord was full length the antenna wouldn't go down all the way. I checked the old cord and it was three feet as said in the video. So there wouldn't be a broken part inside. Will check it tomorrow.

 

Fixed it today; I just had to reinstall it and put on a little bit of grease. Thanks!
