Hi everyone, I own a 1998 Jaguar XJR, I just bought it, the check engine light is on and the code says P0705. I have already looked underneath the car on the driver side of the transmission trying to find the Transmission Range Sensor, but I couldn't find it. I dissemble the "shifter" inside the car and there is a black rectangular plastic box on the passenger side of it. I am guessing that is the sensor i am looking for. The car turns on but it will only drive on first gear. the dashboard tells me "gearbox malfunction". So no idea if the problem is the TRS or what it is? any ideas??? thanks for your help.
