Found this exhaust system clip on youtube described as a resonator delete and Magnaflows. The problem is that the shop owner does not remember what the "resonator" was. Now he describes it over the phone as "removed everything and put Magnaflows before the axle and straight pipe after the axle. That would mean only the Magnaflows and no dual inlet/outlet box after the cats. He still sees the car around near the shop(Orange County Muffler, 1601 Placentia Ave., Costa Mesa, California 92627) so it is definitely alive and kicking.
