So the guy paid $70K in options, accounting for the R1 with Montreal at about $7K and the rear seats at $5K, that make it $58K for the pink paint and floor mats.
What a smart buyer!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, I figured even being generous, an extra $10k for paint color change. Those options were pretty pricy indeed. Or, someone is blowing smoke up someone's pink skirt.

They used to have a custom order department -- but it was mostly for the interior. As years went by it was greatly reduced -- I remember the cost of the a special VDP interior was 13k in 1995.

It never worked like the Porsche special order department.

This car has been offered for sale several times over the years. The "Mary Kay" storyline is a new wrinkle. The first implausibility with this--why on earth would she custom-order a Jaguar through a New Jersey (or was it Florida?) dealer, when there are dealers right here in Dallas? Was she planning a cross-country drive at 83 years old? I know it's just advertising puffery, but I still find it ridiculous.

The "bamboo" brakes are a riot!

I asked myself what would make a person as for a pink Jaguar. And the answer is there is no answer.

I'd like to have that rear seat setup in my car.

It's a HUGE leap forward in being a "Green" car though.

Also, along those lines. Did anyone hear that the new 510 HP XJ gets better mileage than the Lexus Hybrid? At least according to Jay Leno on YouTube. Sounds strange though, so don't take my word for it... Jay said it!

Default Very special Super V8

Anyone ever hear of this car? It was supposedly built for Mary Kay a cosmetic queen.

Jaguar : XJ8 | eBay

The color is atrocious but I love the single seats with center in rear.

Yes... this was posted by someone else in other section of this site a couple of months ago or so. Crazy, huh?

The colour is atrocious, however it suits this Jag like no other. I love this Jag.

I think it's cool. Where is the navigation screen? Is it integrated into the radio?

Yes, funny how he said it has "Bamboo brakes." What is most interesting it that the car is still new.

Default Mary kay

I guess for a "Mary Kay" employee, that would be an Ultimate thing to have, it is done up with all the stuff, but the color? OMG. Wonder if Repainting is a gimee for "TERMINATION"?

You know what would be really neat? If you could order a new out of production model. For example I'd order a new X308 XJR. This would be good for those client that don't like the styling direction of the new XJ.

lol yeah that caught my attention too. Let's hope he meant "Brembo." It's super clean. If I could trade mine for it, I would in a heartbeat. What does owning a car of that caliber and that color say about a man's confidence?
