Question Please help identify mystery bolts

I found these two pictured bolts in my driveway this morning. The car is a 99 XJ8L. The driveway is sloped so they rolled out from under the car a bit, so I have no idea where they dropped from. This may be a long shot but I am hoping an expert here can recognize them and point me in the right direction.

They are about 2 in, or about 5 cm long. The heads are both stamped "G.K.S. 8.8". They are both tipped at the end. They both have washers attached, they both appear to have some greyish-beige protective finish that is rubbing off, and they both are tipped at the end. I am guessing from somewhere in the undercarriage. I checked the door jambs and hinges quickly before going to work, and those bolts are all smaller and the door-jamb paint is not at all flaked off. I drove the car to work and couldn't notice a change in handling or sound.

Any ideas? Thanks.

They look like suspension bolts. Get the cat on a lift and look it over.

All sounds a bit odd to me!
Go out onto the drive and drop one of the bolts from a height of 6" and see how far it rolls (and I bet it doesn't go far). Also, two bolts wouldn't come out at the same time. I suggest they are not connected with the car, or you dropped them from the boot, or they are bolts you didn't put back whilst working on the car, or someone is winding you up!

almost looks like a steering rack bolt. But if you were missing any bolts in your rack mounts your steering would be crazy. has anyone worked on your car recently?

as Jim said: seems odd

Any recent work on the car?

Top bolt in the first picture clearly shows recent application
of a wrench.
