I just purchased a 2002 XJR and have extra key fobs and need to program one.

get into car.. set ignition to 1 no lights.. and pull hi beam stalk 4 times.. you will hear a chime .. then press a button on one remote then a confirmation chime will sound... then press a button on the other remote.. then you will hear another chime. the start the car.. then shut it off .. and make sure they all work..

 

Wow, is it that easy? Would it work the same on my 01 XJR?

 

yep as long as the actual remotes are in working condition and are for your model
