What should I look for before I buy it?

Do a search -- it was the first year of the V8. The early cars have more issues .. and like any car .... the more owners and miles the more that can be wrong -- or done wrong.

I went with a friend to look at a 2000 a few months ago --- 4th owner .. owned it 3 years .. He had no knowledge of changing the coolant or the brake fluid .. it needed tires.

Nothing more expensive that a cheap Jag.
