Default Rapid blinking turn signals

My turn signals are "clicking" rapidly as far as sound inside the car, but they blink normally as far as the lights go, and they all seem to be working (I think).
Doesn't look like the red running lights on the rear quarter panels are working.
Could that be the issue, and are they supposed to stay on or blink like the turn signals?
Thanks to all in advance!

Are the bulbs original (incandescent) or are any LED replacements? LED turn signal bulbs won't be recognized and will cause the rapid clicking noise from the dash while still operating normally (slowly) from outside.

I did change one tail/brake light, but I thought it was a standardSylvania bulb. Have not changed any of the turn signal bulbs. After thinking about it, I don't know if the gentlemans answer previously applied to my situation. Any other thoughts?
