RED paint on Front Springs (comfort or sport)

RED paint on Front Springs (comfort or sport)
1999 Jaguar Sovereign x308 LWB
Im trying to confirm my suspension setup.
On the Rear springs I have a slash of WHITE paint on then, this im told indicates they are COMFORT springs., hence comfort shocks (as opposed to SPORT springs)
On the FRONT however I was expecting WHITE again but the paint slashed on the springs is RED.
Is this normal for COMFORT?.. what does it mean?
Im doing this to confirm the correct purchase of the new SHOCK ABSORBERS... ie comfort or sport.
