Default Removing rear door upper chrome trim enquiry

Rear door upper trim forward corner

Rear door upper trim aft corner

On both of my X-308 LWB rear doors, the upper chrome trim piece has flared up in the forward and aft corners due to rusting of the door frame steel underneath (see pics).

Please advise how to properly remove this chrome upper trim to allow me to deal with the rust underneath as it looks quite flimsy and easy to deform. TIA.

I think they're bonded so a length of braid or fine wire to cut the glue joint?

A quick look at the SNG Barratt site shows a listing for friction bushings but doesn't show a location. If they were glue on they would list the recommended adhesive.
You might want to get a set of plastic tools for trim removal and give it a try.
