Default replacing power steering pump ??

Hey guys. I'm replacing the power steering pump on my 1998 XJ8L.
I pulled the old on off.
That was exciting.
I checked the new one and it look the same. It did not come with the small sort of 'C' shaped braket, so I pulled it off the old one and put it on the new on.
I am having trouble putting it back on.
There does not seem to be any threads in the mounting bracket holes.
Are there supposed to be nuts on the back end of the bolts, on the back side of the mounting bracket? I didn't see any when I took it off, but I don't see how it's held in place otherwise.
-Thanks

I feel stupid about this, but does anyone have a photo (I should have taken one) showing this set up for the power steering mount?

I can take a picture of one when I get to work tomorrow. I actually replaced my pump last weekend but, I had forgotten about that fastener so I couldn't give you an answer.

Yep- That exactly what mine looks like, but the idler pully bracket doesn't look like it's there on mine although I know it's there. I banged my knuckles on it enough times. I'll look it over when I get back at it.
-Thanks

Then maybe I misunderstood what you wanted a picture of. That C shaped bracket is on the PSP. The fourth picture down I purposely left the PSP to bracket bolts loose so you could see how it's attached. Albeit, the bottom bolt is almost not visible because the angle of the picture was off.

Just for clarifying purposes... the power steering pump bolts to the belt tensioner bracket which then bolts to the block. The idler pulley that you mentioned is on the other side of the block. The idler pulley bolts to the alternator bracket which is then bolted to the block. I have an engine out and can give you a better picture but I need a little bit more information on exactly what you need. Let me know and I'll be glad to help.

Yes, that last picture shows me what I did wrong. i had that C-shaped bracket backwards which located everything incorrectly.

And, yes, a pic of the front driver's side of the motor would be great.
Thank you for the pics-

I had to install a reman pump just yesterday. I also had to press out the threaded inserts and install them in the replacement pump.
