Reverse Parking aid beeps while in drive
My reverse parking aid is fully functional while in reverse, however when I'm in drive going down the road occasionally it will beep. When I pull up to a light it some times beeps as well (hard to tell if its beeping based on proximity of other vehicles).
Any thoughts? I'm guessing there is something in the circuit that tells the sensors when the car is in reverse.

The "Reverse Parking and Control Module" are located in the back of the trunk somewhere on the left hand side.
It has a power and and a ground lead, an "signal wire" that tells when reverse light are activated and a harness that connects to the sensors installed on the bumper... some wires and a speaker somewheere.. :-)
I would geuss that it might be either a electrical issue on the lampholders for the rear light.. bad contacts..corrosion etc.. if you have a hitchhook, it might be an issue with the contact (they usually look terrible inside) or an sensor that is acting up.
Try to disconnect the "signalwire" for the reverse light... if its still beeps and misbehaves.. my money are on a faulty sensor or a harness/contact issue in enviromentally challenged areas

The parking aid module only receives power when the gear selector is positioned in reverse. The micro switch that lights the reverse lights powers the module. Check that when the vehicle is in drive that the reverse lights are no longer lit. If they are lit the culprit is the switch on the shift lever.
If the lights work in reverse and shut off in drive report back and we can go further.

I haven't had a chance to tackle this yet, but I have noticed that reverse sensor will only beep in drive when I have my foot on the brake. Seems like some how the brake circuit is energizing the backup circuit.
PS my reverse lights are not coming on when there is beeping and I'm in drive.
