Did anyone ever find a way to replace the pressure valve with an alternative now the Jaguar and the GM ones are no longer available? H have high pressure when opening the fuel/gas cap? I have searched the forum to my new member abilities and cannot find an answer. Sorry if it has been covered already.

 

GM 17089068 is AC Delco 214-552 - Vapor Canister Valve ACDelco GM Original Equipment 214-552 | eBay. It seems that the "CAN' and "TANK" ports on the GM/Delco part are swapped 180 deg. compared to the original Jag valve so one should follow the port markings when connecting the GM valve, not its shape.

 

I thought none were still available? not produced any more? Could my 2000 xj8 have a newer version? Thanks, Tony

 

If you are talking about the tank Pressure Valve, CBC 7714, all X308-s used the same part number. It was also used on a number of previous Jag models and on XK-s until 2006.
