DOES A SUPERCHARGER PULLEY MAKE A BIG SPEED DIFFERENCE? MY CAR HAS 120K ON IT, WOULD THIS PUT EXTRA STRAIN ON THE ENGINE, S/C ETC. THANKS

I have been thinking about one myself.
Where is the best place to buy one?

I put an upper pulley upgrade on my 98 XJR - All good so far. I bought it from 'jaguarxp.com' - I got it a little cheaper by buying the air intake kit with it. Both worked out fine, the air intake kit fit perfectly- the car has some extra zip, and no negative effects after a few months.

Beware, however, on self-installation. They claim that the pulley upgrade is easy to install yourself. Not true....first of all, you need a pulley remover, and a pulley installer, which can both be expensive. Even if you have this, it is difficult to exchange the pulley without jacking up the engine. I ended up having a mechanic do it for about $160 labor.

nevertheless, I give it positive feedback, and a great way to become even more, ridiculously fast.

a full window tint on a black jag does hint at "gun in the glove box" --- but I do like your handiwork..

xjr...I was wondering what you mean by "cold air intake" - because on my 98 XJR, the stock air intake actually pulls air from the passenger side wheel well, which is basically a cold air intake already. What modification did you do to the intake??

Default xjr pulley

hello everybody in this forum! I have a question for XJR ... i was reading your comments , about you replacing both supercharger pulleys and my questions are ... no overheating at all?... or any other issue? i'm asking this because i bought the upper pulley (not installed yet) and I'm trying to get the lower one, but i was told that, any increase in boost, i need to remap or retune the ECU because its reading a different PSI. ... and i did read in EUROTOYS that when you replace the pulleys you don't need the ECU retuning ,because it remap automatically by itself. so i'M CONFUSED ...any advise?... SO, DID YOU RETuNE YOR ECU , thanks for your help ... JORGE.
