Well, today is a sad day for me. Under inspection, my 02 XJR has major rust issues that can not be fixed. The rust is mainly on the undercarriage and on the typical spots that they all seem to rust. The biggest problem is that the rust is located on steel that supports the rear suspension and runs all along the outer edges. I honestly believe that if I was to drive it and hit a bump, it would fail. So, I plan on selling it as a parts car to someone who needs a donor. It's not repairable unless you have large sums of money to throw at it (Lots of money). I was planning to restore the car to its former glory. I have a large list of parts that I've purchase and stored over the years. Way too many to list right now. I will be selling them with the vehicle. I am NOT parting out this car. That IS truly sad. I take it you never noticed the rust before it was too late.

 

You may want to keep it and strip it and buy pcolapacker's one he is selling without a drive-line and swap yours for it. You'll probably want to swap the hood and fender as well, unless you can do hammer and dolly work. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/market/262023
