Default Seat memory

Cannot get the memory function to work for the driver's seat. Mirror and wheel memory work good, Changed the seat memory module, checked "pots", O.K. and still no luck. There is a small brown cube about 1 by 1 by .5 inches mounted on the hinged plate that holds the module. Does not look like a relay. Does anyone know if this item plays any role in the seat memory function?? Some schematics show a relay mounted under the seat but that apparently is for the heated seat control. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The brown cube is a relay.

Can you move the seat with the controls?

The memory function for the seats is on the drivers door switchpack - to set it move the seat to where you want, then press either 1,2,3 this assigns the position to that button, underneath there's a set button, press this until the chime, then it's set.

Thanks Sean; Can move seat nicely with the controls--just no memory function for the seat but memory works good for the wheel and mirrors. Do you know what that relay does--is it involved with the seat memory?? Thanks again.
