She's Here!
I am now an official member of the club! My car arrived last Tuesday night, and I've been getting used to it since then. So far, I've logged about 300 or so miles, which includes a short road trip to Sacramento. A few minor issues here and there, but overall, a great buy, and I'm happy I made the leap...
Thanks to everyone that gave me direct guidance, posted the volumes of stuff I researched, and has contributed in any way with your discussions. I couldn't have done it without this board and its members.

I also, only a about a month ago bought a 2000 Black over Ivory XJR to replace a 2002 Blue Zircon XJR.
I too live in the bay area, so if/when you run into any issues, I'd be happy to help if I am able.
Definitely come to our local outings. We had 23 cars at our last drive and lunch meet.

I often ponder switching out to an XK8 or XKR but ultimately reflect on how this car is EXACTLY what I want and does what it should when it should. You are gonna love it.
