If you look at the Bilstein application guide online, it lists this part for the XJR (without CATS) :

Bilstein, Innovation and High Quality Since 1873

and this part for the XJ8 :

Bilstein, Innovation and High Quality Since 1873

Note that the XJR shock is in black paint finish, and the XJ8 is in green. But I know for a fact that sport shocks should be green.

So which is wrong? The description? The part? What should I order for my XJR? Very confused right now!

 

When I bought mine from ALLSHOCKS 2 1/2 years ago, the guy on the phone said I needed "greenuns."

I think he and the catalog are right. Having said that, the old ones were BLACK!

 

I don't suppose you happen to have the part number for the green ones you bought?

The ones I picked up from allshocks for our 99 XJR ar BE5-2373 (box also sez 24-023733) & BE-2372 (24-023726), all are green.
