XJ8 with blue smoke, loss of power

Daughter was driving the 98 XJ8 when the motor lost power. Upon re-start, blue smoke was coming out of the exhaust. Motor still sounds great?

Any ideas (other than a new motor).

Not that I know of, just got it towed back to the house. Will ask my daughter when I see her in the morning.

Would have some stored codes if there were any.
From there i'd pull the plugs and do compression check.
