Steering Column Reach Motor

Hi Mikey,

I took a look at my JTIS and the reach motor assembly appears to be on top of the column about where the tilt motor on the left side would be. I'm guessing you would have to tilt the steering column all the way down in order to reach it. It looks like that if you can get to it you should be able to replace it but looks tricky. I had the reach motor on my '96 XJ6 go south and I just adapted to it in the forward position. You can try imitating Stirling Moss.

I dont know if you have found the answer but ... i am looking for the repair as well i have found the part though... look at my thead. there is a picture that might help. how to repair Steering Column Reach Motor cable on an XJ8 1998
