Default sunroof inop, common failure modes?

Dead as doornail, no motors running, no sounds at all.
Self dimming mirror seems inop also.
All I've done is check fuses, they are good. I see from the wiring diagram there is a module(in the headliner?)and wondering if this is known weak link. I didn't see any commonality between the roof and mirror but they are neighbors, both inop so I thought worth mentioning, perhaps a red herring.
thanks in advance

Some people have remedied this by doing a Hard Reset. It might be worth a try.

Ur module is gone. Get on eBay and buy a sunroof module.

Thanks gentlemen. I'll try the re-boot first but have my doubts as this car sits for months at a time with the bettery out so plenty of time for capacitors to discharge and the computer to dummy up. Fingers crossed!

Any idea what the module failures usually consist of? And where to access it, it's under the head liner from what I gather looking at wiring diagrams.
I'm a stubborn Swede and not afraid to break what's already broken. The BMWs I also play with have similar maladies often corrected by replacing capacitor X, transistor Y or resoldering a cold joint, which beats the daylights out of forking over big dough to the Bavarians. BMW parts are cheap as chips compared to what Jaag gets.

if your car sat that long without power definitly do a reboot! I see this and window issues after a car sits at a body shop for months at a time. things like inop window, or pressing the lf switch and the rr window open

Here's some more info that should help to diagnose if the Hard Reset does not do the trick. see attachment
