Default Taping new holes on Shock Mount

Hi Community,

I’ve unfortunately snapped a few bolts on the shock mount during installation, 3 to be exact. I am thinking about taping new holes where the snapped bolts are. Any experience with anyone doing this? Any reason not too? I’m thinking about using a 8.5mm drill bit and a M10 x 1.5 tap to use a M10 bolt. Any insight would be appreciated.

It might be beneficial to remove the wheel and place a jack-stand on the subframe so you can get a closer look. There’s welded nuts underneath that wheel well and if you’re real lucky, it might be possible to use some P’Blaster and vise grip pliers depending on how much of the bolt sticks out underneath.
