Default Traction Control Craziness

I have a 1999 VDP. Recently it intermittently began pulling to the right when braking. When I feel that, it's just a matter of time before the Traction Control Failure light, followed by the Stability Control Failure light, followed by the Fail Safe Engine Mode all happen one after the other. At that point, the only fix is to pull to the side of the road, shut off the engine, pull the key out of the ignition, wait a few seconds, then restart the car.

This has been happening over and over again. My Jag dealer doesn't see it, his computer shows no problems with the brakes or the ABS.

Incidentally, my remote key lock often fails to work during these times. What the heck is going on??

sounds like the ABS pump is cutting out, you'll need to read up on ABS module repair by searching the forum - if I can dig the link out I'll post it here.

Basically the solder points for the pump onto the module pc-board fracture, this is why it sounds like the contacts are packing up -

Or an electrical connection, if it's intermittent, it'll be difficult to trace, but a good place to check are the terminal posts around the fuse boxes under the bonnet, maybe clean them up and refit with new nyloc nuts, the posts oxidize up.

Did the dealer look for ABS codes?

Did you check the brake pads?! If on one of the sides they are much more worn-out the result would be as you describe it.

Another suggestion would be to check the level and the condition of the brake fluid. Have in mind that it should be changed once every 2-3 years, specially after winter because it can become thick enough to plug a little bit the braking system which will cause one or more of the brakes to fail.

Yes, they checked that. Also check if one tire was significantly more deflated than the others, and that was not the case, either.
