Default Turn signal issues - not the bulb

Ok, So my right side turn signal stopped working last week. Replaced the bulb, but it was still not working. I tried moving the steering column up and down, back and forth while the rt turn signal was active, but no change.

I am going to dig deeper into the steering column wiring connectors under the dash, but wanted to know if there are any control modules that could be the problem. I learned when my right brake light failed that it is never as simple as a burned out bulb.

I replaced my brake light bulb twice and found it was corroded at the plug. I put CRC contact spray on it after cleaning and it works just fine.

Are you still getting the audio sound of the turn signal and is the rear right turn signal working? If so, it has nothing to do with the steering column or turn signal switch - it's somewhere after the body processor module, most likely the bulb socket.

The rear turn signal works fine and I can hear the audio sound, but the audio sound is much faster than normal, like when you have a burnt bulb.

I will clean the contacts. That is a great idea and thanks to both of your replies. You never know with the electrical stuff in these cars

I was getting the same thing - faster turn signal sound, but no light flashing. Turned out there was a crack in the signal light housing, water got in and grounded out/corroded the bulb socket. Disassembled, cleaned, sprayed with DeOxit (contact cleaner) and sealed the crack with Krazy Glue until I could get a replacement. Which I never did, because its still working fine a year later...
