Hey guys,
We all enjoy our XJs (even I do again
) and have probably gotten used to sitting on loads of leather... But there were poverty spec models... And one is currently being broken here in Germany...
I present you, the unicorn fart seat covers: fabric!

Indeed, fabric and vinyl... Who would have thought somebody would have bought that combo?

Indeed, a weird combination for an X308, but not abnormal in general. Many people here (in Canada) myself included, prefer cloth to leather seats. This is for a different reason than the people of Japan who view cloth as more premium. In central Canada the weather for the majority of the year is an extreme. Leather in -30 and lower temperatures is very harsh and most seat heaters are inadequate to keep up. Comparatively, on +35 days and above with direct sun constantly, the interior will become a greenhouse, and very uncomfortable to sit in. Hot leather is gross to sit in on humid and hot days,
especially in the cars without the perforated leather seats.
For somebody here, a cloth trimmed X308 would probably sell for no less than a fully leather equipped model. If I had the choice when buying my XJR, I certainly would get the cloth one.

Damn Quantum, you can have all the cloth you want, bud! Aside from a summer in Chicago, I've lived in Canada the last 27 years and I'll never sit this fine behind in anything but a dead cow hide! Originally Posted by Quantum

I have to say, those seats look awful! Although I did see a UK X308 with them on recently, it was for sale on eBay. They don't look right at all. I personally think leather is the best option, even in hot weather. I just let the AC do it's job for a few moments before getting in or let the seat heaters do theirs in the winter.
