I used the Valet mode several times this weekend in Vegas ......and it worked! It didn't send the car into limp home mode or lock me out of the trunk or anything. I was scared to death to use it but after the first guy fetched my car and came around the corner in the parking lot about twice as fast as I've ever driven the car I decided to try. I'm just saying.

 

It's too bad that valet mode doesn't limit the throttle opening !

 

It doesn't ? Heck I thought it did. Oh well. In any event after I started using it they started parking it right in front rather than taking it underground so it worked out.

 

It would be nice to be able to use the valet mode, but sadly my car came without the green key, so therefore am unable to use it. It would have come in handy on more than one occasion to be honest, but it's the luck of the draw.
