I've been wanting to change the rear member gear ratio to increase acceleration. Anyone have any thoughts? its a 2001 xj8 with a custom exhaust. i dont in tend on driving 100+ mph just looking for stop to start acceleration...

 

Slightly off topic, but from where are you getting the x-pipe and resonator eliminator mentioned in your signature? I just bought a 01 XJR and it looks like most of my options are just really overpriced rear mufflers.

 

You have the wrong beast to beat American Muscle cars, sorry. A 290 hp 4,000 lb car isn't meant to be a stop light to stop light car.
