Wheel spacer for Asteroid (rear)
I've measured the fender gap at the rear and I "think" a 15 MM spacer could be used (245/45 tire). Has anyone actually tried one? If so, is a bolt on adapter best, or just a loose spacer? $120 versus $50. I'm a little leery of the integrity of studs in an adapter plate that thin.
I'm going to attempt to use 13mm when I do my Silverstone calipers, which may be in the next few weeks? I may have to go wider to clear the Pentas, so when I get them on, I'll know if 13mm will work.
Not positive on the time because each time I try to do a contract job, this virus gets in my way. I have a week of work right now, if I don't get chased off.
I came up with 13mm as a simple offhand measurement in conjunction with another member years ago. I spaced them out as such for visual, but I didn't have the calipers then. If I recall, there should easily be room for 15mm.
A 25mm (1") overall width add should make the car look like a fat crawler. On mine, since I'm planning on doing the lowering kit at the same time....then the fold back mirrors and SC pulley and new cooling system and...and...and...and

Thanks. I'd be interested on how the 13MM look/fit. I mentioned 15MM because I found them on a google search, both in the loose spacer style and the bolt on adapter style. Thinking about it, I guess I could mount the wheel with some varying thickness washers to get an idea (no driving of course.)
That's what I did to test the width, I backed the lugs off and taped 2 stacks of washers together ...and slid them in and snugged it down to hold them. I'm sure a couple pieces of cut wood would work also.
