Windshield Wiper Issue
Having an issue with the wipers running continuously (sort of). Here's my symptoms: In either single wipe (stalk pulled towards you) mode or intermittent mode, the wiper runs continuously for about 1 minute then quits with the blade stopping in random positions. I have to keep running it and waiting for it to stop in the parked position. Also found in a downpour on a curvy back country road that the wiper in the full on or fast position will run for ~1min then stop. I have to switch it back to intermittent then full to keep it running. Any ideas whether I'm dealing with a switch (control stalk), relay, or some control board failure? I've also read that the relay is possibly incorporated with the motor. Is this true?
Any suggestions on testing and resolving this issue would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey bluecyclone......sorry I cant help you, but if you send a pm to Jose, ken@britishparts or Jag genius I'm sure they'll know sumthin about it......all kinda resident experts on the classics.
Good luck
Jim
Further riding in the rain has given me a little more to think about. Still not sure where to go here. Hate to spend money on parts just to find out that was not the problem. After reading other posts, I've tried swapping relays (located behind left headlight) and issue still continues. After using the wipers today in the rain, I did notice that every now and then they would work as they should. Single wipe would work randomly and I could leave it in intermittent mode and it would work occasionally there as well.
Any thoughts?
Any thoughts?
There is a park switch inside the unit that may be either out of adjustment or going bad. If not this, then look at the steering column switch.
Is there an adjustment for this or is is a failing park relay. I understand that the park relay is part of the wiper motor itself and requires replacement of the motor as well. Is this correct?
there i s a microswitch sittin in the wiper motor thats what is faulty
dont think you can get the switch as a separate part from jag though but if you have some mechanic skills perhaps you can change it youself
The switch you can almost certanly get from a place that has lots of smal elctricasl parts. I dont know of any store like that out of Sweden
But here we use https://www1.elfa.se/elfa~eu_en/b2b/start.do
i dont know what kind of switch is sitiing in the v8 one but if you get it out and take it a company that deals whith these thing there almost certainly are able to help you
