Unhappy Wiper

My windscreen wiper is acting up, it wont go all the way just a quarter of the way then it just slams down, is it a nut or bolt? a linkage?

You'll have to remove the cowl cover (its real easy, just 4 or 5 screws) and look at it. It could be either you state, the nut on the wiper is just under the wiper arm cover. I recommend a slight bit of caution with the cowl, as your windscreen washer hose comes up under and through it and the pass through nozzle can be brittle and break. Just so you don't get a little too rambunctious and pull up too hard.

Thank you, but is this something difficult?

Depends on what you find....if its just the nut, then you put some Loctite blue on it, put it back on and happy days. But to look at it to determine the issue, its quite easy.

...as a matter of fact, its so easy to remove the cowl, I will pull mine up after the fall and vacuum out any oak leaves that have found there way under it.

No, actually I had an issue with my windscreen spray. The line was clogged and it burned out my pump. The nozzles needed cleaning and I had the brittle through connector which snapped when I tried to remove the hose so I could run my nylon electrical snake through it to clear it. I did check the wiper motor and mount while there and cleaned out those dang oak leaves.

Do u need a puller to remove the wiper arm or will it easily come off?

Mine came off quite easily...I use a flat blade #2 screwdriver under the arm attachment point for leverage and wiggled it up. I didn't need to put much pressure on it at all.
