I gathered it blew after heatsink issues a long time ago, I think buckhead and TC are onto other things, a real shame as that project had serious potential.

Well, the project may well have sounded like it had some potential, but the Thunderkitty and BI, for that matter, came here with more of a bragging or selling mode that for an exchange of information. If they had been willing to share a little, who knows, they might have learned something from the forum that would have helped them.

And after the jawboning to Avos from the Kitty, I figure he got his come uppance if it went astray. Just my $.02

They needed the Powerhouse UK intercooler and should have run a KillerChiller set up as well and yes your right I remember that original thread, They were a wash with confidence. IMO it was most likely the customer who could not come up with the 25 large though and not the shop.

Well, I never saw a price applied to the project, which made it suspicious. Heck, with a large enough budget, you can double the HP of most any mass produced engine, but so what? Part of expertise in any field is the ability to predict and manage costs.

The real interest is to add HP, while maintaining reliability, and doing so in an economical and reproducible way.

They ran into problems trying to get the car to communicate with the engine management system. If I remember it was to do with the transmission circuit. He ended up selling the car to Buckhead. The story was it was going to be put back together somewhat stock.

Regarding the Killer Chiller comment above, the intercooler radiator is either eliminated & replaced with a tank or bypassed with the Chiller. The intercooler would actually heat the coolant.

Thank you! I never knew that the intercooler had to be deleted for a KC. I really like what the KC does. In Florida after a few stop lights I get complete heat soak. So this winter I want to end it.

That is what Thundercat told me when I called him to ask what was going on with the car. He cut his losses & sold the car to Buckhead. I will call Tony there & ask what they did with the car.
