I have blown my door speakers in my 98 xj8 base model radio. Does anyone know what will fit in the door or do I need to buy the factory replacement woofer. I think they are 5 1/4 the tweeters work find it is just the woofers

i have called the dealership in New orleans.. about 5 hour drive from me and they are telling me the woofers are 50 bucks a piece. but closer dealerships are charging up to 80 a piece. This is crazy about consistancy.

any ideas?

 

The standard door speakers for '98-'02 XJ8 are are Philips, and are the same for all four doors. Part number LNC4140AA, current Jaguar list price is $36.80 each. I need 2 front speakers for my 2002 XJ8. I found some used ones but I am not really sure that those will be good. He also wants $50 for the pair. I have been looking around and you can find 6.5 inch speakers but they don't have the stupid plastic attachment that is specific to Jaguar. I need some advice because I think I can get them cheaper. Can I take off that attachment? Also where can I get a pair of used speakers. The numbers are
