Thank you all for the welcomes i made a mistake i should have gone on the xj forum instead of xk forum the xj8 is only rattling a bit do you think i could get away with just replacing the tensioners it has 165,000 on the clock but service history to 130,000 and i also hope the seat is the module and has to the minis one was made in britain and the other is still made in britain

You might try rewriting your question, as it is unclear what you are asking, especially toward the end. Also, what year is your XJ8?

If a rattle is coming from the timing chain system, yes, it is possible that replacing the secondary tensioners and setting the chain tensions might silence it.

With your mileage, it is imperative that you get those tensioners updated regardless of what is causing the rattle.
