XL8 running beauitifully (replaced secondary tensioners)
After replacing the secondary tensioners, the can now runs beautifully. The only problem is a small timing issue, when I mean small, mean just a tad. I'm a sort of guy who likes things to be perfect call me ****. The problem with the Camshaft timing tool is that you have to have every thing button up before you can test the engine. I'm just wondering if it is worth all of the agro to fix....... any ideas?
Jim, its good to hear another successful tensioner issue resolved with successful results. Good job...do it yourself?
If you are ****, like many of us, the timing issue will eat at you in linear progression / till you just can't take it anymore. I would suggest planning ahead for a long weekend, give yourself plenty of time and tear it down again to get that timing corrected. But that's just me.
^all based on the assumption you DIY.

Yea your right, I'm going on vacation next week for some RR. It will give me time to plan and do the job when I return. Doing the job the first time was a little bit apprehensive, now Its a piece of cake
