Default 1993 / 1994 XJ12 wheels ?

Hey Folks,
I am looking at after market wheels / rims for my XJ12, so I have a tech question.
if the rims are 16x7 with a 33 offset is the offset a positive + or negative - offset?

I ask because some sites list the offset as positive + or negative -
and I do not want to buy the wrong type.

thanks, Dave

The stock 16x7 lattice style wheels on mine are positive 28.5 mm. The 16x8 lattice wheels that were an option, or maybe only offered overseas are positive 33 mm.

You want bolt pattern 5 x 120.65mm (4.75"). The hard part may be finding wheels with the proper minimum center bore size. I believe it is 73.8 mm.

What size and style do you have in mind? I recently looked at several options for different wheels for my XJ81. There are some threads on here discussing what fits, but a lot of the photos don't come up any more because they were uploaded using photobucket.

The 18" wheels from the Aston Martin DB7 look great but are hard to find and very expensive.

Coventry wheels offers some wheels with the proper pcd and offset, including the Whitley model.

A lot of people use wheels from different Jaguar models rather than aftermarket. Most wheels from any XJ6/XJS/XJR up through the 2003 model year will fit the XJ40/XJ81. (but not the wheels from the X-type or S-type).

Here's a couple of threads I bookmarked when looking:

And a couple of other photos I saved. 16" 20-spoke Jaguar wheels; 16" 20 spoke with exposed lugs; 18" penta; 16" 5-spoke

WOW, those are some nice ones.
thank you for the links and photo's.
now I just have to decide what style and find them here in the U.S.

The RED Jaguar, F333 SPA, it that a after market ground effects kit or a factory option?

Thank you, Dave
