Default 88 Cibie lights

Greetings helpful Jag owners. I have an 88 Japan spec XJ6. The car has Cibie dual beam single bulb headlights. The LH lense is broken. I ordered some used Hella lights and of course they don't use the same mountings. They are also dual bulb dual beam. Has anyone any idea where I can get the LH Cibie light? If you do, do you want a couple of Hella lights? I would like to keep the car as original as possible since the Japan spec adds to its uniqueness. It is also LH drive. So that and the 70K km true odometer also adds to the unique history. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Since no one else has responded with anything Ill go. First, Sorry I cant help with getting Cibie lights. I wonder if it would be easier to get the backing mounts that go with the Hellas. I have to think the metal stampings would have the same holes. Youd have to be careful to get all of the screws and such for them.... Just putting it out there. Good luck.

Thanks Jerry. I have thought of that. I was just trying to avoid wiring changes and keeping it as original as possible for resale. Looking at the Hellas it seems they may not fit into the edge of the grille properly. I may be missing a piece of trim. If I cant get some Cibies, and I doubt I will, I will attempt to find the Hella mounts. All the best, Ron.
