Default Advice on Purchase

Hello,

I was in a bad accident last week and my 92 Caddilac Brougham was totaled. I have always wanted a Jaguar, and have looked at a few. I have seen a 1994 xj that is in pristine condition. 187k miles though. They want 1795.00 I was going to offer 1500.00
I dont mine working on it, if the need arises, it took me 4 years to do my caddy to a 9 out of 10 condition. Any advice is welcome.

Thank you

Sorry to hear about your accident . Jaguar parts are more expensive than Caddy . In performance wise, Jaguar is the winner even though you had a V8 engine .

Beware A/C problems , suspension system , rust issues .I had to deal with those and if your Jag was abused then walk away unless you are an epic Jaguar Fan .
Even fixing A/C itself cost me more than 2K Grand that's no brainer

Oppsss, I almost forgot to say you welcome

Welcome, and the Xj40's are fun cars that can be found very cheap. The motors are easy to work on and they like all jags can turn some heads.

Thanks for your advice. The car has 167k not 187k. It is solid, no rust at all, very strong engine. I forgot to check the AC because it was raining and cool when I looked at it this morning. It has a bunch of lacquers check/cracks but i can deal with that. For the price i think its worth it. Thanks
