Ok here is the issue

Low Medium settings on the fan do not work.

High Works, so to the demister, but i am not getting any air through the vents, well very small amounts.

I am not feeling any cold or warm through the vents at all.

I am quite mechanically minded but need a heads up to tackle this cheers

Generally, "high speed only" is a symptom of a failed transistor or relay in the aircon blower speed control circuit.

The speed control circuitry is located inside each blower. Sounds like both of yours have failed. My car had the same problem when I bought it.

I fixed mine with a lot of help from the forum - if you search the archives for "blower", or "aircon" there are quite a few good threads on this problem, lots of photos and how-to's etc.

If it's any consolation, this is a common issue with the XJ40.

Now all fan settings seem to work, then turn off then work again, checked fuses all good.

Guess its mechanic time
